When the mind goes blank, strategy matters.
Helping neurodiverse Year 9–13 students move from overwhelm to progress through self-regulation, memory strategies, Reader/Writer support and exam readiness.
Your child studies.
They revise.
They understand the work.
And then… they walk into the exam…
and everything disappears.
They freeze.
They panic.
They can’t get the words out.
And afterwards, they say:
“I knew it… I just couldn’t do it.”
They come home (or avoid coming home) and says things like:
Their brain went off-line. It happens under pressure, before, during and after exams or assessments.

When the brain is overwhelmed:
Parents and their teens can join our Skool community.
Inside this program, we don’t just “study more.”
We teach students how to get their brain back online. It begins in the Regulation Zone.
Helping students access their thinking.
Helping students retain and retrieve information.
Study strategies and subject-specific support across school and NCEA subjects.
Helping students communicate what they know, including how to work with a Reader/Writer.
Reducing exam stress while improving confidence and performance.
Celebrating every step forward, because progress builds confidence.

The Brain Freeze to Nailed-It! Skool was created by Adrienne Furness—an educator, learning specialist and researcher who has spent decades helping students who learn differently. Through classroom teaching, adult education, Reader/Writer support and research into regulation, Adrienne saw the same pattern again and again: students often knew more than they could demonstrate under pressure.
Not because they want another tutoring programme.
Because they want their teen to:
• stop panicking
• remember what they studied
• feel calmer
• become more independent
• understand how their own brain works
• walk into exams with confidence
Learning can’t happen effectively in a dysregulated nervous system.
When students become overwhelmed, working memory is affected.
Information they’ve learned can suddenly become difficult to access.
Brain-Freeze to Nailed-It! teaches practical strategies that help students regulate, remember and respond more effectively under pressure.
Students often walk out more confident and more willing to tackle another exam with greater comfort.
What does it mean to be a Founding Member?
It means that we are building as we go as individual members uncover new requests and needs. In other words, the complete Skool is not present to begin with. It builds each week as various topics are covered in a zoom call and add to the library.
When you click the button, you will be taken from the website to my Skool.
